ChessPriveTerms of Service
Welcome to ChessPrive, a private members-only chess club. By using ChessPrive you agree to these terms. Keep it simple: play fair, be decent, respect the club.
1. MEMBERSHIP
- ChessPrive is invite-only. Access requires a valid invite code or an account.
- One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your password and invite code private.
- You must give accurate sign-up information and keep your account secure.
2. FAIR PLAY
- No chess engines, bots, or outside assistance during games. Play is your own.
- No multiple accounts, rating manipulation, collusion, or sandbagging.
- Games are monitored for cheating, backed by human review. Violations can lead to suspension or a permanent ban.
3. CONDUCT
- No harassment, hate, threats, or abusive behavior toward other members.
- No scraping, reverse-engineering, attacking, or overloading the service.
- No attempts to bypass the invite system, security, or human-verification.
4. COINS
ChessPrive uses in-club fun coins for play and ranking. These coins have no real-world or cash value, are not redeemable for money or prizes, and are not for sale. They exist purely for entertainment within the club. (Any future paid or real-money layer would be entirely separate, clearly labeled, age-verified, and governed by its own terms.)
5. YOUR CONTENT
You keep ownership of what you create (e.g. your username, messages). You grant ChessPrive permission to display it within the service so the club can function.
6. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, harm other members, or threaten the security of the club. You can close your account anytime by contacting support.
7. SERVICE "AS IS"
ChessPrive is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it secure and available, but we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ChessPrive is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service.
8. CHANGES
We may update these terms. We'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify members. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
9. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, unless your local law requires otherwise.
